Life Fitness recently honored its top commercial and consumer dealers with four awards: Commercial Dealer of the Year, Consumer Dealer of the Year, Randy Renfro Entrepreneurial Spirit Award and Highest Attainment. The winners were chosen based on revenue generated, successful marketing practices and top-quality customer service. Recipients were named April 16 at the Life Fitness Elite Eight Dealer awards dinner. "This year's dealer award recipients demonstrate a deep passion for meeting the needs of their customers, which translates into strong profits and a bolstering of Life Fitness’ solid reputation in the fitness industry," said Tim McCarthy, VP/sales and marketing, national accounts. "We are pleased to honor these dealers with the Life Fitness performance awards and are proud to be associated with each one of them." The 2004 Commercial Dealer of the Year was Fitness Resource, Fairfax, VA. The Consumer Dealer of the Year was LA Gym Equipment, North Hollywood, CA. The Randy Renfro Entrepreneurial Spirit Award went to G&G Fitness Equipment, Williamsville, NY. As a co-founder of Fitness Resource, Randy Renfro was the consummate entrepreneur, identifying opportunities and implementing innovative ideas to succeed in the fitness industry. He unexpectedly passed away in 2002, and this award is given in his honor to a retailer that emulates Renfro's entrepreneurial spirit, demonstrates a proven ability to succeed over the course of several years and continues to grow. G&G Fitness Equipment has continually displayed these qualities. The Highest Attainment Award went to 2nd Wind Exercise Equipment, St. Louis Park, MN. This award acknowledges the dealer that attained the highest level of revenue versus goal among North American dealers of Life Fitness equipment.
