Edwin Watts Opens Sixth Orlando Door

SEPTEMBER 20, 2005 -- Edwin Watts Golf opened its sixth store in the Orlando, FL, market. The new store is located at 7149 N. Frontage Road in Orlando, less than a minute drive from Orlando International Airport.

"The airport handles more than 32 million domestic and international passengers each year and we certainly plan to take advantage of this high volume of traffic with this new location," said Sven Kessler, VP/retail operations. "We plan to let tourists, business people and convention goers know they can stop off after arrival or just before leaving Orlando and let our staff show them the latest in premium equipment, apparel and accessories."

The new 10,000-square-foot store will feature all the amenities common to Edwin Watts Golf superstores, including a hitting area with swing analysis capability, an indoor putting green and complete club repair, club re-gripping and custom-fitting services.

"Situated so close to one of the country's busiest airports, we anticipate that this will be one of the busiest stores in the Edwin Watts Golf system," said store manager Bryan Batten, who assumes his new position following more than 10 years as the assistant at the Edwin Watts Clearance Center in Orlando. "We look forward to showing visitors new to Edwin Watts Golf why the company has earned its reputation for providing the most exceptional and knowledgeable service in the industry."

The new store brings the total of Edwin Watts Golf stores to 59 stores in 10 states maintaining its status as the largest, privately-owned golf retail operation in the world, and the six stores in Orlando represent the most in any single market. The airport location will be open seven days a week and a grand opening sale event will be announced at a later date.
