adidas to Open World's Largest adidas Brand Center in Beijing
On July 5, adidas will open its largest Brand Center worldwide in Beijing. The center will be the first to offer products from both adidas divisions-Sport Peformance and Sport Style. The facility will feature an interactive coaching technology and an 'Urban' area highlighting trends in art, music, and culture. Billabong International Limited has acquired Sector 9, a Southern California-based skateboard brand. Report:: Steve & Barry's Exploring Store Closings
Steve & Barry's LLC is readying plans to close more than 100 of its stores, and is contemplating a full liquidation should it not find emergency financing, the Wall Street Journal reported on its website. The article, citing people familiar with the company, said the retail chain is seeking a tentative plan for about $40 million in debtor-in-possession financing if it must file for bankruptcy protection.
